Clinical history :
An 83-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain and was found to have a mass involving the right colon. Right hemicolectomy was performed. The process involving the right colon was found to involve regional lymph nodes but otherwise the peritoneum was not involved. Six months after surgery the patient was free of clinical disease.
